The Howitzer Shell, attached to the Village Hall, was awarded to Appledore for War Bonds purchases during 1914-1919. The shell lay behind the Village Hall until 2000, when it was given a temporary home for safe keeping.
The Inauguration of The Shell as a Memorial to The Fallen of 1914-1918 will take place on
Saturday 15th November 2014
2pm to 4pm at the Appledore Village Hall
