Welcome to the Appledore Local History Society

Appledore is a village situated in Kent, England. The name Appledore comes from the old English Apuldre (meaning apple tree) and is first recorded in the 10th Century.

ALHS Meetings

The Appledore Local History Society meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7.00 pm – all welcome! We have recently lost our regular venue and are looking for another. Please contact us if you can help, or if you would like to join us – we will advise where we will be holding the next meeting.
