Quiz Night
We would like to thank everyone who came along to the Village Hall in February to support our Quiz Night. It was a great evening, and we raised over £300, which is absolutely fantastic! Congratulations to the winning team and, of course, MASSIVE THANKS to our Quizmaster, Graham, and his superb Assistant, Wendy, for making the night such a success.
The money we raised will go towards funding our various projects around the village, and the ongoing digitalisation of our archives.
Appledore Station Talk
Our guest speaker, Stuart Searle, will be giving a talk on Appledore Station and will be covering the 1980 Train Derailment. The meeting is, as usual, at the Methodist Hall on Thursday 12th March at 7:30 pm.
Please do come along for what promises to be a fascinating evening. There is no entry fee or charge for refreshments, but donations are always appreciated.
Are You Interested in Local History?
If you are interested in local history then why not pop along to one of our regular meetings? You’ll find us at the Methodist Chapel at 7:00 pm on the second Thursday of every month. Contact our Secretary, Jo Killick, on secalhs@gmail.com for details.
